How to Calculate the Japan Airlines Refundable Amount
Ticket refunds and EMDs are calculated in accordance with Japan Airlines’ flight cancellation policies, as detailed below.
- Before you start the journey. All tickets, taxes and fees paid less cancellation fees specified in the fare rules will be refunded.
- After the journey begins. The refund shall be the difference between the rent and taxes including the fare of rent, taxes and administrative expenses, less a deduction applicable to rent legally excluded.

Time to implement the refund

Subject to the transfer fee at the passenger’s expense, the purchased amount may be refunded to the nominated bank account within two weeks of receipt of the refund application.
